How to Sync SignUp with Your Electronic Calendar

Yes, SignUp syncs with Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar, and more. Organizers can subscribe their SignUps to a personal calendar to track who signed up for what. Participants can add their own assignments so nothing falls through the cracks. Here is how each one works.
For Organizers: Sync a SignUp to Your Calendar
Syncing a SignUp to your calendar lets you see participant names and details right alongside your other events.
- Open your SignUp and go to the Settings tab.
- Navigate to Calendar Subscriptions.
- Choose what information to include in your calendar entries — participant names, contact details, and your time zone — then click Next.
- Copy the subscription URL and paste it into your calendar app (Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Outlook, or any calendar that supports .ics subscriptions).
For Organizers: Sync an Entire Group Page
If you manage a Group Page with multiple SignUps, you can pull everything into one calendar view. Email support@signup.com with your organizer email address, your Group Page title, and whether you want participant contact information included. New SignUps added to the Group Page sync automatically within about 12 hours.
For Participants: Add Your Assignments to Your Calendar
There are three ways to add your signup assignments to your personal calendar.
- On a smartphone: After saving your spot, the confirmation screen shows an Add to Calendar link for iCal, Outlook, and Google Calendar.
- On a computer: After signing up, click Save at the top of the screen. The next screen offers calendar sync options for Outlook and iCal.
- From your confirmation email: The confirmation email from mail@signup.com includes calendar sync links. To add to Google Calendar specifically, open that email on your phone, tap View/Change My Commitments, find your spot, and click Save to access the Add to Calendar option.
A Few Things Worth Knowing
- Initial sync can take 12 to 24 hours depending on your calendar provider's update schedule — this is normal.
- When a participant signs up through a calendar embedded on your website, their assignment is recorded on SignUp in real time — the calendar just updates on its own schedule.
- This is a feature the organizer can choose to have on or disabled.
